Let's meet Lynn Wandelmaier and husband Dave's

Hailey was born on November 5th to Lynn and Dave's daughter Lauren and her husband Chris. 

They live in London, UK.

Hailey came to NJ in December to meet her grandparents.

Their daughter Shelby now has 3 little girls!

Joe Fagan shares this news and photos of his son Shane

 who attends the Naval Academy in Annapolis.

Shane and the family celebrated at Mahwah Bar & Grill 

after Navy beat Army 17-13 in December at 

Met Life Stadium

 on the 20^th Anniversary of 9/11.

Shane (back left) has been selected to represent USNA at the March 2022 Clara Barton International Humanitarian Law competition in DC.  Graduation is around the corner on 

May 27^th. Then off to Nuclear Power School in Goose Creek, SC.

Philomena has been very busy being creative!

Check out the photos of some of her latest awesome work of fused glasswork and engraving.

Here's what she has to say about her these and other work -

"I’m selling all shapes of cutouts from dolphins, seahorses, hearts, cats, etc with different thicknesses for the crafters to design their own creations, from tiling to painting on. Available now are 3/4” thick, average sizes 14”-19” depending on which cutout you choose. Also special order carvings available for that creative woodworker to incorporate into their own projects. Laser engraving will be available soon for your special pets, family photos on marble and wood. Need 600dpi for laser. And lastly fused glasswork portrait designs."

Lynn Savino celebrated her recent birthday with some folks we all know at

"Alabama residents Joe and Maggie Cuhaj took a trip back north recently. Debbi Karpowich O’Connor and her husband Brian enjoyed having a gang reunion at their home in Rockaway, NJ. It is always so much fun to share laughter, smiles, and memories from our time together during high school. “We were there and we had fun!” "

October 2021 Edition

Thanks for reading the latest edition of our MHS Class of 1976 blog.

While we did not have a formal reunion celebrating #45 there were a few gatherings that will be shown on this blog.

Remembering Doug Collums who sadly passed away in June of this year. 

I have been unable to find an obituary but I am sure everyone would like to keep

 his family in their thoughts.

Lenny Frost sadly passed away in August, here is his obituary.

"The Mahwah class of 76 held a small reunion at the Mahwah Bar and Grill this past Saturday (August 21). In this picture I am with John Mariani, brother of our classmate Kevin, his wife Nancy Reavely, sister of our classmate Tom, and their daughter Grace. Sadly our classmates Kevin and Tom have passed away but it was an honor to have this family at our reunion. I was fortunate enough to be classmates with both Kevin and Tom from first grade at Immaculate Conception school through our graduation at Mahwah high school. I didn’t have the first grade class picture but below is the third grade class picture. You’ll see Kevin and Tom in the last row on the right. And then there is the picture from our senior class where I’ve circled Kevin in the middle of the picture and Tom in the front row at left. We miss you guys!"

A classmate who didn't want her name credited shared these thoughts....

"July 2021  But since today Mondelez which was formerly Nabisco is closing. We were the first CLASS NOT TO GO!! Tours were stopped. To this day I regret it. 

Also, did you know that our class was the first to graduate as Mahwah High School instead of Mahwah Junior-Senior High. 7th and 8th grades."

Awards ceremony at the Hyundai Dealership in Mahwah~

As a Trustee of the John F. Carty Memorial Scholarship Fund I was invited to this ceremony honoring Mahwah Alumnus Rick DeSilva, Jr. as Time Dealer of the Year. As part of the award, Rick was able to donate to local charitable organizations.

Mrs. Carty, Roger Remo and I accepted a check from Rick for $4,000.
