Hi everyone, 

Thanks for viewing this latest edition of our class blog. You'll find photos, news and also be sure to read the update regarding our 50 year reunion to be held in 2026! I hope you will enjoy this edition! Entries aren't necessarily in chronological order. (And I can't win the battle with Blogger formatting after I try to carefully set it up...)

News from Steven Burton

" Happy Fall!! I wanted to advise that I work for the State of New Jersey and have been promoted to Chairman of the Commission of American Indian Affairs. I get to work with all the state and federal Tribal nation members that reside in NJ to share and promote our culture, and be the liaison between the state and the tribal councils. Since most of us are related to each other, it's like working with one big family. I'm hoping to reach out to all the individual federal and state recognized indigenous members and offer our support."

News from Joe Fagan~


Lt. Junior Grade Shane Fagan was awarded his "Dolphins Pin” qualifying as a Nuclear Power Submarine Officer out of Joint Base Pearl Harbor in April. He was also awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for superior performance.  He is now assigned to USS Massachusetts for Commissioning later this year.

Audrey Scordato Gleave and her husband Michael are thrilled to announce the engagement of their daughter Melissa to Ben. An October 2026 wedding is planned.

Lynn Golden has been kind enough to be a go-between for class mail as Elaine isn't on-line. 

She shared the following words regarding her sister.

"As far as working goes: Elaine worked at the Oakland HS cafeteria as the "cool lunch lady" LOL Retired early age 62 to take care of her husband Doug who lost his leg in motorcycle accident. A guy high on something and on his phone cut him off. Probably in news but Elaine has info and more. I will see Elaine soon. Thank you Sue!"

TJ Wilks and Debbie Demeduk traveled over 9000 miles, to 14 states, and one wedding this summer.

News from the Reunion Committee

The following are tentative plans for the weekend. We wanted everyone to be able to 'SAVE THE DATE' now. The reunion will definitely be held in Mahwah.

Accommodations:  we will reserve rooms at the Fairfield Inn and also Doubletree for those coming from out of town.

The date chosen is OCTOBER 10, 2026. The survey results showed that autumn is the favored time of year.

There will be activities planned for the weekend; some of them include a BBQ at John Dolans (1:00 pm Oct 9), Tour of the high school (morning Oct 10), hike (morning Oct 10), and we are awaiting the MHS football schedule as that could also be a fun activity to attend. Once the activities are finalized we will let you know.

Payment methods with Zelle and/or Venmo are being set up.

Stay tuned for more information about the reunion weekend!

We haven't had too much success in locating folks, here is an updated list. Some of the people have a postal address on the spreadsheet but we would like to confirm their location and send info from email if possible as it is the most cost-efficient way to get the word out.  Others on the list used to have an email address but the mail comes back either as undeliverable, no such address, etc.  So if you can look at the list again and see if you can assist. Please let me know, thanks! Some names are on FB and LinkedIn but I am waiting to see if the persons reply to my inquiries.
